Bluetooth Nora

Nora got to tryout Dell's Bluetooth headset today to call Grandmama and MamaT... she loved the freedom!

Here are some more pix from our Family Saturday Morning. Mostly photos of Otto and Nora rolling around the livingroom floor, having a mini-slumber party with Baby and Taggie.

A Little Clothes-Pony

Nora got some great new clothes lately, including a TON of hand-me-downs from Avery Lyon (Thanks Kaisa!). Nora has been so excited to wear these new things, and is very proud of her new fleece poncho with the matching socks. Note the little mitten shaped pockets on the front of the poncho - adorable! Here is the back view of the poncho, with the hood up. Nora didn't want her picture taken anymore, and kept turning her back on me! Little prima donna!

New Washing Machine

I know this is totally boring to most people, but I am so thrilled about my new washing machine! It is an LG 2077 front loader, and it cleans clothes like all get out. Now we just need our dryer to break, so we can get the one to match the fancy new washer.

Do Your Ears Hang Low?

click picture to see video
It looks like Nora's favorite place to perform is the bathtub. She surprised me with a new song last night... I didn't even know she knew "Do Your Ears Hang Low" - she told me she learned it at school.

Just click the picture above and you will start downloading the movie (AVI) file. Or right click the picture and choose "save target as" to save it to your computer.

Flood at the Ranch

This was taken New Year's Eve day. My mom was supposed to drive to SF that day to babysit Nora, but got the Explorer was swamped. She had to walk back up the hill to the house in waist deep water. Now that's a dedicated grandma!

Back to the Grind

I got the mullies... It was back to work and school for us today. It was very hard getting out of the house this morning. Dell is flying off to Vermont for work today; Nora and I will be in SF dealing with this terrible weather. It started absolutely pouring, and of course, I forgot my umbrella at home. Very fitting for the first day back after a long vacation! I am thankful I have "The Dinner Source" dinners so I don't have to work too hard for our evening meals. Well, hopefully the weekend will come soon, and we can have some down time (to recover from our vacation!).

Happy New Year 2006!

We celebrated our 13th New Year's Eve together last night at the St. Regis hotel in downtown San Francisco. We met Dale & Ginger Pistilli and Kate & Paul Healy at the lobby bar - what a gorgeous place. We ended up staying at the hotel for the prix fixe dinner at Ame Restaurant. I don't think the meal was worth the cost - it was very pricey - but we had a wonderful time!

Plant Trees + Stop Junk Mail = Green Dimes

I just found this web site to deal with my huge junk mail problem: GreenDimes. For a dime a day they get your name off direct mailing lists and keep it off, and plant a tree for you every month. So if you want to stop your mailbox from overflowing, and save some trees, take a look at GreenDimes. Note: I have noticed a HUGE reduction in the amount of junk mail I have been getting!
