In Memoriam ~ Jeffrey James Breiholz (1964-2007)

My best friend Melinda's husband Jeff Breiholz unexpectedly died in his sleep last night; he was only 43 years old.
Goodbye Jeff - You Will Be Missed

He leaves behind his wife Melinda, their two beautiful daughters, Claire and Camille, his parents, Buck Breiholz and Anne James, his brother Brad, uncles, aunts and cousins, as well as many close friends. Please send your healing prayers and love to Melinda, Claire and Camille, and everyone else experiencing the sadness of this loss. Jeff, you will be missed by many.

Death is but crossing the world, as friends do the seas; they live in one another still.
For they must needs be present, that love and live in that which is omnipresent.
In this divine glass they see face to face; and their converse is free, as well as pure.
This is the comfort of friends, that though they may be said to die,
yet their friendship and society are, in the best sense, ever present, because immortal.
- William Penn, from More Fruits of Solitude

Check out Nora swimming for the first time without a life vest or arm floaties! She is a little dolphin now... we are so proud of her!

Welcome Baby Isabella!

Great news... My brother Chris's wife Liz gave birth to their daughter Isabella Ray this morning! 6 pounds 5 ounces, and 19 inches long (very healthy for being two weeks early!). I only got to have a quick phone chat with him, so I don't know the details, but Chris says Liz and the baby are doing great. I am sure big sister Sammia is very excited to have a new sibling. Congrats to the Cox family! View the PHOTOS on Flickr.

Wild in the Wild - Part 2

July Fourth weekend was spend out in the wilderness with Joel, Josh and Sweet Melissa. We had way too much fun, food and libations. Once again, they treated their guests like kings and queens. View the photos on Flickr.

Plant Trees + Stop Junk Mail = Green Dimes

I just found this web site to deal with my huge junk mail problem: GreenDimes. For a dime a day they get your name off direct mailing lists and keep it off, and plant a tree for you every month. So if you want to stop your mailbox from overflowing, and save some trees, take a look at GreenDimes. Note: I have noticed a HUGE reduction in the amount of junk mail I have been getting!
